Stamaril Vaccine works by causing the body to produce its own protection (antibodies) against the virus. This vaccine is generally recommended for individuals who are traveling to areas where this infection is common. However, while traveling, use insect repellent, wear long-sleeved shirts and pants, treat clothing and gear, and get vaccinated before traveling, if vaccination is recommended for you.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Alcohol:
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Stamaril Vaccine.

Pregnancy:
Stamaril Vaccine may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding:
Stamaril Vaccine should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.

Driving:
It is not known whether Stamaril Vaccine alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney:
Stamaril Vaccine is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Stamaril Vaccine may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:
Stamaril Vaccine is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Stamaril Vaccine may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Stamaril Vaccine is given for the prevention of yellow fever.
Seek emergency medical attention if you experience unusual symptoms such as high fever, behavioral changes, allergic reactions or flu-like symptoms after taking Stamaril Vaccine.
Inform your doctor if you notice difficulty in breathing, hoarseness or wheezing, paleness, weakness, a fast heartbeat, dizziness, severe allergic reactions within a few minutes to a few hours after the shot.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
Inform your doctor if you have a history of allergy to eggs or chicken.
If you are ill with a fever you should ideally postpone the injection until you are better.
