Zyvac Tcv-PFS Vaccine is a typhoid vaccine recommended for the prevention of typhoid fever. Zyvac Tcv-PFS Vaccine works by causing the body to produce its own protection (antibodies) against the bacteria. This vaccine is generally recommended for individuals who are traveling to areas where typhoid fever is common. However, while traveling, it is important that you avoid contaminated food or water. Zyvac Tcv-PFS Vaccine is given as an injection into a muscle by a doctor or a nurse, as a single dose, approximately 2 weeks before travelling to such an area where typhoid fever is common.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Zyvac Tcv-PFS Vaccine is a vaccine which helps develop immunity by initiating a mild infection. This type of infection does not cause illness but stimulates the body's immune system to produce antibodies (proteins) to protect against any future infections.

Alcohol:
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Zyvac Tcv-PFS Vaccine.

Pregnancy:
Zyvac Tcv-PFS Vaccine may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding:
Information regarding the use of Zyvac Tcv-PFS Vaccine during breastfeeding is not available. Please consult your doctor.

Driving:
Zyvac Tcv-PFS Vaccine may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.Tiredness has been reported in some people after receiving this vaccine so you must take extra care when driving or using machines.

Kidney:
Zyvac Tcv-PFS Vaccine is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Zyvac Tcv-PFS Vaccine may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:
Zyvac Tcv-PFS Vaccine is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Zyvac Tcv-PFS Vaccine may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Zyvac Tcv-PFS Vaccine is used for prevention of typhoid.
It should be given at least 2 weeks before protection against typhoid fever is required. 
Take it in addition to strict food, water and personal hygiene measures to avoid the disease.
It is usually given by injection into the muscle of the upper arm or leg.
It is not recommended for use in infants and children under two years of age.
Protection lasts for around 3 years. Booster injection is required every 3 years to provide continued immunity.
