Shanchol Oral Vaccine helps prevent cholera.
It can be given to anyone above the age of 1 year.
It is given orally. Two doses are given at an interval of at least two weeks.
The protective effect begins within 7-10 days of completion of the vaccination schedule.
Inform your doctor if you or your child has an infection with a high temperature, as vaccination may need to be delayed until recovery.
