Valgan Tablet is used to treat cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection of the retina (retinitis) in adult patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). It is also used for the prevention of CMV infection in patients who have received an organ transplant from a CMV-infected donor. Valgan Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It should be taken with food. You should drink plenty of water while on treatment with this medicine, as it helps prevent dehydration and kidney damage.Valgan Tablet may cause a few common side effects like diarrhea, vomiting, anemia, low white blood cells, low platelet levels, insomnia, and vomiting. Inform your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration.Before you start Valgan Tablet, let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions. Let your doctor also know about all the medications you are taking, as some medicines may interact with Valgan Tablet. Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of Valgan Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
