Unicalcin 100IU Injection is a calcitonin receptor agonist. It acts by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause destruction of bone, thereby strengthening the bones and minimizing the risk of fractures.

Alcohol:
Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Unicalcin 100IU Injection. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy:
Unicalcin 100IU Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding:
Unicalcin 100IU Injection is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving:
It is not known whether Unicalcin 100IU Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney:
Unicalcin 100IU Injection should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Unicalcin 100IU Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:
Unicalcin 100IU Injection is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Unicalcin 100IU Injection may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

You have been prescribed Unicalcin 100IU Injection for  short term treatment of paget’s disease, high calcium levels in the blood, and to prevent bone loss in postmenopausal osteoporosis.
Treatment is usually done for the shortest possible time with the lowest possible dose.
It may cause dizziness, fatigue and blurring of vision. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
Discontinue Unicalcin 100IU Injection and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.

If you miss a dose of Unicalcin 100IU Injection, consult your doctor.
