It is used to prevent the symptoms of asthma such as tightness in your chest, wheezing, breathlessness and coughing. It also relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing and watery eyes. It may take a few weeks for this medicine to show full effects. This medicine will not stop an asthma attack that has already started. In order to prevent future attacks, it is important to identify asthma triggers and avoid them and take your medications as prescribed.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lukotas 3D Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Lukotas 3D Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Montelukast, Levocetirizine and Acebrophylline. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose, and improves symptoms of allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.

Alcohol:
Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Lukotas 3D Tablet. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy:

Driving:
Lukotas 3D Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney:
Lukotas 3D Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Lukotas 3D Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:
Lukotas 3D Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lukotas 3D Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

You have been prescribed Lukotas 3D Tablet for prevention of asthma.
Take it at the same time each day, preferably in the evening after food.
Do not take it with any fruit juices (such as apple, orange, or grapefruit) as they might make the drug less effective.
It does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems. Use your rescue inhaler to control sudden difficulty in breathing. 
Your doctor may take regular blood test to monitor the level of drug in your body.
Avoid using antacids within 30 minutes of taking this medicine. It can make it harder for your body to absorb this medication.
Notify your doctor if you smoke or have an viral infection. Your dose may need to be adjusted.
Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.

If you miss a dose of Lukotas 3D Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
