It is used for short-term relief of mild-to-moderate pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. Etova LP 2% Gel is for use on the skin only. Apply to the affected area by rubbing in gently and thoroughly. Check the instructions for specific directions. Wash your hands well after applying unless you are using this medication to treat the hands. Do not apply to serious burns or deep wounds. Avoid getting this medication in your eyes, nose, or mouth.
