Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dutadon Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Dutadon Tablet is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It blocks an enzyme that is necessary to change testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow. As a result, it helps to shrink the prostate and relieve symptoms like difficulty in passing urine.

Alcohol:
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Dutadon Tablet. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy:
Dutadon Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.Dutadon Tablet is contraindicated in women. Partners should use protection during intercourse.

Breastfeeding:
Dutadon Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.Dutadon Tablet is not indicated for use in women.

Driving:
Dutadon Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Kidney:
Dutadon Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Dutadon Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:
Dutadon Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Dutadon Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Dutadon Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

Dutadon Tablet may take 3 to 6 months to see the full beneficial effect of Dutadon Tablet. Hence, continue taking the medicine as advised by your doctor.
Dutadon Tablet is usually well tolerated. However, it may produce some mild sexual side effects, such as low sexual drive.
Do not donate blood for 6 months after taking the last dose of Dutadon Tablet.

If you miss a dose of Dutadon Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
