Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER is a potassium channel blocker. It works by strengthening the communication between nerves and muscles. This results in improved muscle activity – in this case, walking – in people with multiple sclerosis.

Alcohol:
Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

Pregnancy:
Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding:
Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving:
It is not known whether Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney:
Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER is probably unsafe to use in patients with kidney disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:
There is limited information available on the use of Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.

Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER helps improve walking in adults with multiple sclerosis.
It may take 2-6 weeks for the medicine to start working. Keep taking it as prescribed.
Do not chew, cut, or crush the tablet as that may results in releasing too much medicine in your body at once.
Inform your doctor if you have a history of seizures or kidney problems.

If you miss a dose of Dalstep 10mg Tablet ER, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
