It works by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing and prevents the infection from spreading. Zinc acetate has an antioxidant activity that protects the cells from toxins. This is how it works against acne.

Capgel Plus Gel is used for the treatment of acne.
Before you apply this medicine, wash the area with any medicated facewash and water and gently dry it with a towel.
Apply it to all of the areas where your acne is present and not just to each acne.
Try to avoid getting it on the sensitive areas of your skin in or around your nostrils, your eyes, and your mouth. 
Capgel Plus Gel may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight than usual. Therefore, it is best to apply it at night and wash it off in the morning. A sun protection cream can also help if you are out in the sun or even if it is cloudy outside.
If your skin becomes very dry, using a moisturizing cream (preferably a fragrance-free and water-based cream) might help. Do not use ointments or oil-rich creams, as these could clog your pores again.
The most common reason for treatment failure is giving up too soon, thinking that the treatment is not working. Continue using it as prescribed. 
If, however, your skin has not improved even after completing the prescribed time, consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Capgel Plus Gel, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
