Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Budigan 9 Tablet CR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Budigan 9 Tablet CR is a steroid. It works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers that cause the inner surface of the large intestine (colon and rectum) to become ulcerated and inflamed (swollen), resulting in pain.

Alcohol:
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Budigan 9 Tablet CR.

Pregnancy:
Budigan 9 Tablet CR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding:
Budigan 9 Tablet CR is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving:
It is not known whether Budigan 9 Tablet CR alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney:
Budigan 9 Tablet CR is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Budigan 9 Tablet CR may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:
Budigan 9 Tablet CR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Budigan 9 Tablet CR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Budigan 9 Tablet CR is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease as the data available in these patients is very limited.

Swallow Budigan 9 Tablet CR whole without crushing or chewing to ensure proper release of medicine from Budigan 9 Tablet CR in the gut.
Take it at the same time each day to maintain a steady medicine level in your body.
If you develop mouth ulcers or persistent stomach pain, report it to your doctor as these could be early signs of irritation.
Let your doctor know if you are taking any steroids or have had recent infections, as this may affect your dose.
If you are scheduled for surgery or have been under stress, inform your doctor, as your body may need extra steroid support.
Avoid high-fat meals right before taking Budigan 9 Tablet CR, as they can delay how the medicine works in your gut.

If you miss a dose of Budigan 9 Tablet CR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
