In Hypertension (high blood pressure)Asomex-D Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure. It helps lower blood pressure levels, reducing the strain on the heart and arteries. It supports long-term heart health and helps lower the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Common Side Effects :
Glucose intolerance
Sleepiness
Ankle swelling
Headache
Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk)
Tiredness
Palpitations
Nausea
Increased blood uric acid
Decreased potassium level in blood
Altered blood lipid level

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Asomex-D Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Amlodipine and hydrochlorothiazide which lower blood pressure effectively. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which relaxes blood vessels and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Alcohol:
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Asomex-D Tablet.

Pregnancy:
Asomex-D Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding:
Asomex-D Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving:
Asomex-D Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.Asomex-D Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney:
Asomex-D Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Asomex-D Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Asomex-D Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver:
Asomex-D Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Asomex-D Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

It may cause you to feel lightheaded or weak especially when you stand up (orthostatic hypotension).  Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
It may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and Inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, muscle weakness or very dry mouth.
Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood pressure, kidney function and the levels of salts such as potassium in your blood while you are taking this medicine.

If you miss a dose of Asomex-D Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
