Alcohol:
Consuming alcohol while taking Altiflox-MDS Oral Suspension may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).

Pregnancy:
Altiflox-MDS Oral Suspension may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding:
Altiflox-MDS Oral Suspension is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving:
Altiflox-MDS Oral Suspension may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.Altiflox-MDS Oral Suspension may make you feel sleepy, dizzy, confused. You may have hallucinations, fits (convulsions) or temporary eyesight problems (such as blurred or double vision) affecting your ability to drive.

Kidney:
Altiflox-MDS Oral Suspension should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Altiflox-MDS Oral Suspension may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:
Altiflox-MDS Oral Suspension should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Altiflox-MDS Oral Suspension may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

If your child develops diarrhea as a side effect, encourage them to drink plenty of water.
Altiflox-MDS Oral Suspension may cause an altered taste. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help.
Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid to your child within 2 hours of taking Altiflox-MDS Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.
Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions.
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.
Discontinue Altiflox-MDS Oral Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing.
Never save the medicine for future illnesses since its effectiveness in future infections cannot be guaranteed.

Do not panic. You can give the missed dose as soon as you remember unless your child’s doctor has advised otherwise. Remember not to double the dose to catch up with the missed one. In case of any confusion, do consult your child’s doctor.
